Maam Doulas have extensive experience working with families and supporting perinatal and infant health in several communities. We are a group of moms who love supporting all birthing persons. MAAM stands for Mothers Are Amazing Mentors and it is our belief that we can share our experiences and provide information and support to each other. We are a combination of Dona Trained and Certified Birth and Postpartum Doulas, ALPP Trained and Certified Lactation Counselors, Community Health Workers and Advocates of Reproductive Rights and Birth Justice.

Maam Doulas LLC is a growing Perinatal Support Team in New York. We have over 16 years of experience supporting birthing persons and families. Using a client-centered approach...we support many but still provide intimate, personal service and support to each.Â
We take great pride in providing our community with high-quality, patient-centered care and health education. Our team is well trained, caring and highly motivated. We have supported clients of various backgrounds, cultures, beliefs and we practice and support cultural humility. We are in the process of adding Lamaze Trained and Certified Childbirth Educators, Prenatal and Infant Massage as well as Prenatal Yoga. I started my journey with Maam Doulas in the early months of my pregnancy. Despite being in different countries, we were able to communicate fully and the expertise and care shown is commendable. From calls, messages, zoom chats and materials shared, every ounce of information was valuable as I walked through the toughest of my three pregnancies. My doula supported me up until the final hours of welcoming my baby boy Nikolai. The support continued through those newborn stages as he was having trouble latching, he was losing weight quickly and was jaundiced. The continuous information and support my doula shared as well as the reassurance, gave me the courage to push forward and take the best steps to ensure my baby would be well. Nikolai is 17 months now and I continue to reach out with a question or concern and my doula has never been hesitant to answer me or make referrals. Amazing is an understatement! I would recommend their doula support to every birthing person...first time or otherwise. Keep up the great work that you do!
